Performancing Talking to Themselves

Lately I’ve been reading the Performancing blog. Occasionally I have an interesting thought, but since their blog doesn’t have comments, I can’t contribute.

Today, there’s a blog post which is a question… and the question is repeated in the post. How the hell can anyone answer? Why would you write a one-way blog, asking questions, yet not provide a commenting option for feedback?

Tell me, Performancing folks, what is it like in the echo chamber?

You can’t have been following the p.com blog(s) too much. Of course it is possible to comment on blog entries on p.com. The only thing you have to become is a member of the p.com community.

If you are a member you automatically have a p.com blog where you can post your occasional thoughts about blogging in general.

Some articles (like the PFF handbook) are not open for comments because there are forums where you can post your issues.

Sorry, I refuse to sign up for an account anywhere just to leave comments on a blog. Making your readers jump through unnecessary hoops just says you don’t want to make it easy for folks to participate.
