Seth Godin is a top-notch marketing guy who occasionally posts something outstanding. Today is one of those days. Any coding geek should go read his post Ten things programmers might want to know about marketers.

A couple highlights:

• Marketing is not rational. Programming is.
• Most marketers have no clue whatsoever what to do.

Go read the full post. It’s funny, but with a lot of truth. Marketers, despite their actions sometimes, are just people doing a job trying to make a buck. There’s good ones, and there’s bad ones, but they’re not out to intentionally screw you or make your life difficult.
