Tower Records will begin offering downloadable music for 99 cents. Am I the only one who sees a problem with their choice of format as WMA? According to Tower’s COO:
The digital store fit perfectly with Tower’s history of offering music in all formats that prevailed throughout its 45-year history.
Huh? Last time I checked, the iPod was the prevailing portable music device, and offering the downloads in a format that won’t play on an iPod is hardly in line with their statement. Or is Tower just arrogant enough that they think the iPod is irrelevant?
