Verizon’s Odd Business Model
I got an answer back from Verizon’s customer service about upgrading my phone (read the backstory). The short answer is that if I want to upgrade my phone before I’m down to two months remaining on my contract, I have to pay the highest full retail price for the phone. They won’t sell me the phone at a reasonable price even if I want to extend my contract.
Interesting business model they have… I want to give them $150 now, and an additional $25 a month ongoing, and they say that I need to wait another year before I can do it.
