Even on the vast expanse of the internet, local is important. I’ve found several interesting blogs related to the Portland/Vancouver area, ranging from the predictable to the bazaar:

• Metroblogging Portland - a group blog from a dozen folks (including myself) who talk about anything Portland-related including politics, sports, events, and local news.
• BikePortland.org - Portland is overrun with two-wheeled folk, and this is their site.
• Blog Town, PDX - the Portland Mercury’s online news offering, with a fair amount of offbeat news.
• Stumptown Confidential - documenting Portland.
• Portland Transport - everything transportation and transit related around the city.
• Portland Business Journal - the local business journal has a news site with feed
• The Oregonian’s City Hall Blog - assorted government-related news from the O
• Jack Bog’s Blog - keeping an eye on things around town
• Furious Nads - b!x’s observations
• PAgent’s Progress - a personal blog with a fair amount of Portland-related content and observations
