Under the category of things I’d like to see Yahoo do right, give me access to my Yahoo Groups via RSS. They currently provide a feed for those groups which have wide-open public message access, but if a group is set to require membership, there’s no feed.
I would think they could implement a secured feed which uses authentication with the Yahoo ID in order to access the feed.
How about it guys? My RSS reader is a much nicer way to keep up on the groups than cluttering up my inbox…

As I found out when I worked for Weblogs Inc. and we had team wikis with secured feeds, most RSS readers don’t handle basic HTTP auth well. That’s probably why they haven’t bothered.
