I’ve mentioned PayPerPost a few times. What’s the real deal? Why are they doing it, and how come nobody else did it before them? As some folks have noted, bloggers have been pimping products and websites forever… and even getting paid for it. The whole idea is simple: folks pay a fee to put their ads on blogs and PayPerPost then pays bloggers to run those ads. I offer that the PayPerPost truth is one of these things:![]()
- A secret government experiment studying bloggers to see how much buzz can be generated by simple advertising
- Secretly funded by, or soon to be purchased by, some huge internet search company once they figure out it seems to work
How long until it’s PayPerGooglePost? Between AdSense and PayPerPost, you know Google would love to have that piece of the market sewn up tight…
