In no particular order:
- I wish I could search my feeds. Google, you’re a search company… right?
- The river of news + single-key keyboard navigation combination is fast. Damn fast. I actually timed it, and my first run through all of my feeds in the morning now takes about 40% of the time that it did with FeedDemon
- The shared items feed is a very cool feature. Scoble’s using it for his linkblog. I’m likely going to use it as well, probably replacing my del.icio.us links over in the sidebar. And yes, it has an RSS feed. More details coming soon.
- The methodology I’m using is to make a quick read through things, star the items which will be investigated further or become blog entries, and share the items I want folks to see but don’t have any real need to write more about.
Will I stay with Google Reader forever? Not likely. Will I stay there until FeedDemon wins me back or someone else comes along with new features? Probably.
