UN Passes Measure to do Nothing About North Korea

October 14, 2006

The UN Security Council has passed a measure to impose sanctions on North Korea.  I’m sure that will have just as much effectiveness as the sanctions against Iraq did.

Of course, in the spirit of the UN not wanting to actually do anything, the measure specifically excludes any use of military force.  This ought to be just about as effective as saying “pretty please stop your nukes… mmm kay?”
