In 2004, supposedly the Democrats should have had an easy time beating President Bush. I heard many folks say that if they couldn’t beat him then, the Democratic party was a complete failure. We know how that turned out.
Now, leading up to the 2006 mid-term elections, we hear poll after poll talking about how the Republicans will suffer a bunch of losses and lose control of the House.
What will be interesting to see, as Wizbang notes, is to see how the media will spin things if the Republicans retain control of congress.
