Today Jason Kottke points to an idea of proxy votes for children under 18. If a set of parents have two children, their family would receive four votes. The idea is that this would help skew elections towards that bottom 20% of the population that can’t vote, rather than ensuring that old-people legislation remains popular.
My take on things? Oh dear, we’re screwed. Do you really want to give all the voting power to the Mormons?
