It’s a Union. Duh.

I’m not sure why BlogTown PDX and b!x are at all shocked by the absurd statements by the Portland Police Offier’s union regarding the folks they beat that have died in custody.

It’s a union.  The number one purpose is to cover their own asses and protect thier own jobs, regardless of the legal, moral, or other issues involved.  They’re doing the same thing that every other union does.
