Things like this make me wonder if AOL even has any business analysts or marketing folks to think about a product before the create one. They’ve created a mobile feed reader. It’s standalone, and doesn’t integrate at all with their web-based reader (which is apparently so popular that I’d never heard of it prior to today).
This is exactly the sort of short-sighted software development that was going on during the “Web 1.0″ bubble a few years ago. Folks were creating products left and right without any real strategy or plan on how to make those products profitable, and in some cases, usable. It’s not like AOL doesn’t have anyone who understands aggregators…
