I don’t hide that I occasionally post sponsored content on this blog. A lot has been said (good and bad) about the PayPerPost blog marketing model. Here’s what I like:
I can choose what I want to post about. At any given moment there are dozens of opportunities on a variety of subjects. Because of the breadth of subjects, I can pick and choose and only post about things which are interesting (and hopefully are interesting to my readers). I’m not forced to write positive things when reviewing sites or products. Sure, some of the opportunities only want people who will say good things, but I pass those over: I won’t lie to make a few bucks. From a business standpoint, they appear to be honest and efficient with their accounting. I have been paid in full and on time, without any hassle.
Could one potentially be deceptive using PayPerPost? Possibly. Can one also be honest and provide useful information on their blog while making a few dollars? Yes.
