You know what would make my life just peachy? A new point and shoot HP digital camera. Sure, I have a camera. But it’s a few years old. And as we all know, old == bad. You don’t want me to go take photos with the Titanic of cameras, do you? Surely I shouldn’t be expected to go out there and create art using a Pinto of the camera world. My DSLR takes photos… yes it does. What would increase my love for digital photography? A point and shoot.
My DSLR is big. When I carry my backpack of DSLR gear it’s heavy. If I keep doing that, eventually I might have back problems. Do you want me to end up as the hunchback formerly known as Aaron? The guy who once took good photos, but now they’re all from some funky camera angle because he can’t stand up straight? Surely you can’t be serious. I am serious, and stop calling me Shirley! Because I seriously would love a point and shoot digital camera. My future career as a spy is at stake… if I take my big honkin’ SLR, the enemy will look out the window and be like “WTF is that? That big thing… whoa!” and probably shoot me because my camera gave me away. Either that or they’ll all be laughing at me as I sneak past the window, with the large hump on my back giving me away like a shark fin through the window. With a nice HP point and shoot, I can sneak in all stealthlike, get some incriminating photos, and then blackmail someone until I’m rich! (or something like that).
Oh, I almost forgot… a printer would be splendid as well. Because this whole business of holding a sheet of paper up to my monitor and trying to trace what is on my screen is getting really annoying. That, and I’m tired of the markers bleeding through to my screen… I’m on my third flat panel this month!

I love having a little point & shoot camera! I keep it on my belt all the time so if an opportunity does present itself, I can capture it. I think it’s important for a photographer to have a camera all the time. Still, when I’m planning photography, I pull out my D80 and head off…
