Apparently Washington’s current crop of high school students are failing miserably when it comes to meeting the standard for math competency. While I’m sure that teaching the students to understand math is a noble goal, it’s so much simpler for the education system if we just drop the standard and pretend it didn’t happen. My tax dollars at work.
