Now that the Democrats are in control of Congress, it’s time to start breaking the campaign promises. One of the key refrains heard during the campaigns was that they would implement all of the recommendations of the 9/11 commission. Apparently now they’ve decided that they can’t be bothered to implement the recommendation that’s the most difficult, and most important: overhauling congressional oversight of intelligence.
Sigh. More non-action by the ruling parties.
