A denial of service attack on a website can cost a company a lot of money both in lost revenue and damage to their image. Today I read about ProxyShield DDoS Protection which is a service to help a company avoid the effects of an attack. Their service works as an incoming proxy… you point your DNS through them, they filter the traffic and fend off an attack if it were to occur. It sounds like a good idea and is worth investigating if you need protection against downtime. Check out their website for more information and the benefits of their service.
