I used to work for an ISP here in the United States, and sometimes I would talk to customers where English was definitely not their primary language. It created a frustrating situation for both of us. If I were to travel abroad, I’d run into a similar situation. Fortunately there’s at least one company providing Internet Access in Japan with native English support. If you’re going to be over there for a while, check them out. I was floored at some of the speeds available… they offer 100MB fiber optic lines and ADSL at 47MB. That’s fast, even for Japan, and quite a bit faster than anything I can get here in the old fashioned USA.
