OpenID is something I’ve been peripherally aware of for a while now… but it hasn’t really impacted me. The first podcast I listened to this week once I started taking transit was an episode of Hanselminutes where they explore OpenID. Then, I see that AOL is now offering all of its users (both traditional AOL and AIM) an OpenID URI for use through their service.
What does it mean to me? Not much… yet. Once I find a site where I can use it, I’ll sign up. If you’ve got a blog and currently require registration, I still won’t do it, but I’d use OpenID if you support it… hint hint…
