Microsoft’s Search (lack of) Market Share

This morning, Search Engine Watch points to a piece in Business Week asking why Microsoft doesn’t have a bigger piece of the search market pie. I read through the analysis looking at various factors. I’m sure that marketing plays a big role, but for me, personally, here’s what Microsoft needs to do to get me to switch to Microsoft/MSN/Live search: implement features or accuracy that isn’t offered by Google.

Pretty simple, right? Just becoming a Google clone won’t make me switch. What will make me switch? Features. I suspect the answer is the same for most technical folk.
