I’m not sure why, but I just love the LAFD blog. Maybe it’s because I get more amusement than I should when they respond to a HazMat incident at the Hot Pocket factory.

There was regretfully a shooting in the area to which both the LAPD and your Fire Department responded. At this time, there is an active Police investigation… and all further details must come from law enforcement officials.
