Website Traffic Boost: I’ve Been Stumbled Upon

I’ve been gradually adding content via new posts over at Photoschooled but have yet to see a significant amount of traffic to the site. A few minutes ago I checked my blog stats and received quite a shock. Here’s the graph:

What happened? I got a ton of traffic… and digging into the stats shows that the traffic is coming to my post on how to photograph fireworks and that it’s coming from StumbleUpon.

Traffic is good. Sadly, it appears folks who come in via StumbleUpon have yet to click a single advertisement, which doesn’t really surprise me given the usage model for StumbleUpon. Still, hopefully a few of those folks have bookmarked the site and will become repeat visitors.

Moral of the story: submit interesting content to StumbleUpon.
