Portlanders - Acceptable Umbrella

Normally Portlanders shun umbrellas, scoffing at the out-of-towners and seeing the umbrella as a sign of an inability to deal with rain.

So… when it’s over 100 degrees, is this an acceptable use of an umbrella in Portland?
