I use a priority-based grouping of my feeds in Google Reader. There’s basically four buckets: A, B, C, and D. A contains feeds which are “must read ASAP.” B contains must-read feeds but not necessarily the most important ones. C feeds are ones I’d really like to read but it’s not a crisis if I end up missing something, and D feeds are nice to read, but when I get busy they get ignored.
When reading via Google Reader mobile on my Blackberry it is a bit of a pain to switch between tags. In the morning I always hit the A tags first, then B, then C, and then D if I have time.
It would be awesome if I could tell Google Reader that I want my feed items sorted by Tag. Then I could just hit the “All Items” list, and the A-tagged items would jump to the top. If I was reading B-tagged items and a new A-tag item came in, it would show up at the top of the list.
I realize this would mainly be useful to folks with the same reading style, but hey, it’s good to have wants.
