Twitter: a Two-Way Medium

The Twitter service simply asks you to answer what you’re doing at the moment, but it’s obviously involved into more of a social network for folks who speak in short sentences. It really hit me last night when @verso posted this tweet:

k, I’m out. Off to the Green Dragon for the Metblog Meetup. Join me won’t you? Till later tonight my twittering is 1-way. later!

When she has to explicitly state that the twittering has become 1-way, we’ve definitely moved beyond “what are you doing”…
